I am in Indianapolis today at ALEC - American Legislative Exchange Council May - where Vivek Ramaswamy is speaking. I support him in his campaign for OH Governor! Vivek has strong Republican values that we need in this country. 🇺🇸

I am also on the Veterans and Military Affairs Committee learning from legislators from other states on passing legislation for our veterans 👏

As a veteran myself I’m deeply concerned about the mismanagement of our state’s four veterans nursing homes. These facilities, designed to provide specialized care for our veterans, are operating at just 50% capacity, leaving hundreds of beds empty while veterans across Kentucky wait for admission. The Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs (KDVA) is prioritizing healthier veterans and turning away those who require higher levels of medical or long-term care, forcing many to seek treatment in out-of-state facilities—far from their families and communities.

Compounding the issue, the KDVA has spent millions of taxpayer dollars on ongoing repairs and renovations, yet these projects remain incomplete, with no clear timeline for when veterans can move in. This inefficiency delays access to the safe, dignified care our veterans deserve. For more details, watch the following link: https://youtu.be/ur-1dDiTtPs?si=7LWJLteBsACkywgO.

Our veterans have sacrificed for our country, and it’s our duty to honor them with quality care in Kentucky. I’m committed to holding the KDVA accountable and fighting for solutions to ensure these nursing homes serve all veterans effectively.

This weekend, I had the honor of speaking at the Hardin County GOP Lincoln Dinner, a tradition celebrating our shared conservative values and commitment to a stronger Kentucky.

Thank you to the Hardin County GOP for hosting this event and to everyone who attended and spoke. Your energy and dedication fuel our mission. Let’s keep the momentum going as we work to elect principled leaders at every level!
