The Elk Grove Police Department recently hosted its annual end-of-year Explorer banquet and awards ceremony. The ceremony acknowledged the dedication and professional growth demonstrated by the Explorers throughout the preceding year. Some milestones included 33 Explorers committing 1,354 hours of service to EGPD and our community, three Explorer competitions and 49 Explorer meetings.

The Explorers recently attended the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Stockton Explorer Competition. Achieving success across several challenging scenarios:

Second place Building Search
Third place Crisis Intervention
