As a mom, there are moments that stay with you forever… and this is one of them.

My son, Gerardo Vazquez, is being recognized for something far beyond a prize. He’s being recognized for his voice, his awareness, and the impact he’s making. In his message, he reminds us that even our emotions can distract us and take our attention off the road… it can wait.

Watching him create something that speaks truth and can help save lives fills me with so much pride.

Thank you to the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office and the Safe Roads Coalition for uplifting young voices and helping keep our community safe. This is what it’s about… looking out for each other.
