Baugo Township Fire Department

This morning, Baugo Township Fire Department was dispatched after a neighbor reported what they believed was a vehicle fire. While crews were en route, Battalion 1 arrived on scene and reported a fully involved RV with fire extending to a nearby mini barn.

Engine 141 and Ladder 191 arrived shortly thereafter and utilized E-141's deck gun to quickly knock down the bulk of the fire. Firefighters then deployed handlines to extinguish the remaining pockets of fire and complete overhaul operations.

Thanks to the quick actions of BTFD personnel, the contents of the mini barn were protected and the inside structure was saved without damage.

Baugo Fire Responds to Mutual Aid House Fire in Penn Township.

In the early morning hours, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Baugo Township Fire Department was requested to provide mutual aid for a residential structure fire in Penn Township near Dragoon Trail and Fir Road.
Engine 141 responded to the scene, where crews assisted with fire suppression and the extinguishment of remaining hotspots. After completing their assignment, Engine 141 was released from the scene at approximately 4:00 a.m.

Mutual aid incidents like this provide valuable opportunities for firefighters to work alongside neighboring departments, strengthen regional partnerships, and enhance our ability to serve our communities together. We appreciate the opportunity to assist and look forward to future training and collaboration with our neighboring agencies.

Today, A-Shift responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident. Upon arrival, crews deployed stabilization struts and ground ladders to safely access and remove the driver from the vehicle.

Incidents like these serve as an important reminder that road conditions can change quickly. Even after a rain shower has ended, roads may remain slick and catch drivers off guard.

Please slow down, increase your following distance, and drive with caution during and after wet weather conditions. A few extra minutes of travel time can make all the difference. Drive safely.
