MSLP - It's a Great Place to Be!

Registration is open for After-School 2025-26! Our schedule runs concurrent with the Elkin City Schools calendar, so our first day will be Wednesday, August 13th. We are a faith based, Christ-centered after-school program focusing on homework help and supervision, so if you are looking for a wholesome environment for your elementary aged student to be after school, please get in touch with us by phone or email to request forms or more info. Completed forms can then be dropped off or mailed to us along with first month’s fee.

Help us help our neighbors!

We are working with a rural church congregation outside of Boone to get needed supplies to families in their community. Here is a list of items they have asked for:

Toilet paper
Paper towels
Distilled water (for cpap machines, etc)
Drinking water
Feminine hygiene products
Other hygiene products - toothpaste, toothbrush, dry shampoo, deodorant, soap, etc
Depends undergarments (for older people)
Maybe decks of cards, or games, puzzles, etc
Batteries (if anything sent that requires batteries, please send batteries too)
Canned food or other non-perishable food you can eat without heating (PB&J, canned meats, etc)
Candles
Matches

If you can donate any of these items, please bring them by
Main Street Learning Place between 2pm – 6pm from now till October 4th. We will be delivering to the community on Saturday, October 5th (possibly make a trip before Saturday if we get enough items before then.) If you would like to make a cash donation instead, we will use that to buy needed items to deliver.
