Elkins-Randolph County Public Library

Wow! What a great kick off for our Summer Reading Program, Unearth a Story! We read Here We Go Digging for Dinosaur Bones. We "hatched" dinosaur eggs with mallets, dug for fossils, made fossils with play dough and enjoyed looking at dinosaur x-rays! For our activity, we painted our own dinosaur skeletons!

It is always good to spend time with the campers at the Elkins/Randolph County YMCA! This is their red, white, and blue week. We read The Night Before the 4th of July. For our activity, we made red, white, and blue bracelets!

For Children's Storytime in Elkins today, we read All the Ice Cream in the Land. We shared our favorite ice cream flavors and surprisingly vanilla was the most popular! For our activity, we made our own ice cream cones!

Governor Morrisey has declared that observation of the Independence Day begin at noon on Thursday. The library will be closing at noon on Thursday.
