Sometimes in life, you discover what you are truly good at… and you realize it’s not just a skill it’s your passion.
For me, that passion is cooking. I know I am a good cook, but more than that, I cook with my heart. It’s part of who I am.
But in life, you also admire people who show you that NOTHING can stop a determined woman.
My mother is one of those women.
And the other is my cousin, Derdlim.
Twenty-three years ago, when many people told her it was impossible… when they said it wouldn’t work… she didn’t listen. She didn’t let fear, opinions, or obstacles stop her.
She opened a Venezuelan Latin restaurant in Elkins and built something beautiful for our community.
That strength, that courage, that faith… it inspires me.
That’s why I invited her to be part of this dream.
Now, Derdlim Chef of El Gran Sabor and I Chef of El Toro Steakhouse are coming together to create something special.
An INTERNATIONAL BRUNCH 🌎✨
Twice a month, we will bring the flavors of North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean right here to Elkins, WV.
Different cultures.
Different traditions.
One table.
This is more than food.
This is legacy.
This is family.
This is two women who refused to believe “impossible.”
