Last year, Howard County offered Homebuyer Education Workshops for more than 325 people, empowering them with the tools and information they need to become educated homebuyers in Howard County. This year, we are continuing this successful program with monthly workshops where you can learn about budgeting and credit, home readiness, financing, the house hunting process, and more.

Through our Homebuyer Education workshops, you can learn about the various programs and financial assistance that Howard County offers on your journey to homeownership. This includes our Settlement Downpayment Loan Program (SDLP), which provides down payment and closing cost assistance to prospective homebuyers. Through our Opportunities for Wealth-Building Now (OWN) initiative, these programs are more accessible than ever.
