Uncle Tim’s is a four piece alternative rock band out of Encinitas. They were top contenders at this year’s Battle of the Bands for Summer Fun at Atacama/Brown Studio. David Perez, Aaron Hernandez, Tyler Overstreet and Sawyer Mitchell won over the judges with their hard edged but emotive original tunes. Cindy Lee Berryhill will perform for the first time at Summer fun on the 101 starting at 5:20PM. Joining her on stage will be heavy hitters Willie Aaron and John Kruth. Keyboardist Willie Aaron has worked with Leonard Cohen and the Balancing Act. John Kruth, who has toured with the Violent Femmes and Folklorica, will be playing flute, mandolin and various exotic instruments. Wili and the Waterdawgs is a surf, roots and bluegrass band fronted by multi-instrumentalist and bandleader Wili Fleming. This man of many bands also leads a Celtic roots/rock group called Finnegan Blue, as well as the New Orleans jazz inspired Fresh Veggies Micro Brass. We know bluegrass heads and initiates alike will love Wili and the Waterdawgs starting at 1:40.
