Better Beauty Lover

So thankful that we finally got together. It’s been two years since I’ve seen one of my favorite humans on this planet! I’m so glad we were able to connect in Temecula even for only a few hours. Oh and Cork | Fire Restaurant was super good!!!

Back in 2014 when I came across Beautycounter’s website, I knew very little about the beauty industry & never even thought about our skin being our largest organ & what we put on it matters.

Did you know? the last time a major federal law was passed governing the products we use every single day was 1938. 🤔The average women use 12 cosmetic products a day (168 chemical ingredients) where roughly only 15% of the ingredients have ever been tested for safety. The US currently only bans 30 ingredients while EU bans over 1400. this 60-billion-dollar industry is governed by only 1.5 pages… Not sure about you – but all of this is just crazy😖!

I started to think about how so many friends were going through fertility issues, that only 1 in 8 breast cancers are genetically related, that kids are more ill than ever, the list goes on, I just knew that I had to get involved in making this world 🌎safer and more sustainable by educating people on making simple safer switches.

I was attracted to how Beautycounter sourced their ingredients with a higher standard of safety and quality in mind. I love that they have a NEVERLIST of over 1800 ingredients that will never be used in any of their products while having a 12-step process for defining clean. And what other beauty company lends their voice for change – taking these important health topics all the way to Washington DC?

As someone who loves chic products that perform (at the time was using La Prairie, SkinCeuticals, Neocutis, Nars, Urban Decay,) I love that I didn’t have to sacrifice effectiveness when making the switch to Beautycounter. It’s no surprise that celebrities and press agree as over the years we have earned numerous awards, including ⭐️Fast Company's Most Innovative, Allure's Best of Beauty, Glamour's Beauty Awards, Refinery29's Innovators List, WWD's 2019 Best-Performing Beauty Company, and CNBC's Disruptor 50 to name a few.

It’s been an honor 🙏these past eight years to serve & support my community, from the amazing clients to my awe-inspiring team and I’ve loved all the peers I’ve met. The work we do can be hard, but it is 100% worth it!
