This is a wonderful submission to the "Sound Tree" collaboration art video from Laila Popata. I am guessing this is Haiku, Hawaii. I can't imagine what this tree would look like in person. The birds and the wind are making incredible music with this great giant. This video gives me a feel for the islands I have never had before. Thanks Laila!! Please send more;) This project is very much still open for submissions and will be for some time. If you have a great tree you love, please share it with this project. I made this painting on wood a few months ago. Wood is a great alternative to canvas and in some ways is a better surface to paint or draw on. If you have some scrapes of wood on the side of the house, turn it into a piece of art. I found these pieces in the scrape section of the local home improvement store. This piece is around 30" x 30" with ink, oil pastels and acrylic paint. Painting was made at Greg Holden Regan Studio in Encinitas.
