Lucky for you, we happen to have happy hour here at the Academy—which, in the spirit of clarity, we're calling Slightly Cheaper Beer Hour. NOW POURING: Strega Nona and Ancient Scholar. If you've found yourself in a bit of a beverage rut, we have a suggestion or two to shake up your regularly scheduled imbibement. From our Lomaland brew sorceress Rachel comes Strega Nona, an Italian grape ale featuring Sangiovese must for a wonderfully complex, berry-forward, earthy profile. On the malty side, may we suggest Ancient Scholar; a Rauchbier boasting campfire aromas and slightly sweet, surprisingly fruity notes to nicely offset the smoke. With wonders like these waiting to be discovered at the Academy, we definitely recommend an occasional diversion from your usuals.
