We wanted to share some interesting findings from a recent study that might change the way you approach your pre-workout nutrition. It turns out, what you eat before exercising can have a big impact on your performance, and plant-based foods seem to have the upper hand!

Researchers found that eating a plant-based meal before exercise improved arterial health (think reduced stiffness and better blood flow) and boosted aerobic capacity. In simple terms: better heart health = better performance! 🏃‍♂️💨

This research highlights the crucial role of blood flow in preventing the progression from mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to Alzheimer's disease (AD). Intracranial arterial stenosis, or the narrowing of major brain arteries, significantly impacts cognitive decline.

In a study of 423 participants with MCI, those with moderate or severe stenosis experienced a faster decline in cognition and daily functioning. Even after adjusting for various factors, significant arterial stenosis was linked to a higher risk of progressing to AD.
