The first look and why you should consider doing one- and it's not JUST about the awesome photos! A lot of time, stress, money, and love goes into planning a wedding and wouldn't it be a shame to not enjoy every minute?! Taking the time to do a first look well before your ceremony not only gives you that intimate moment with your soon to be spouse, but it also means you can take so many other photos (think bridal party and family shots) before your ceremony. The reason that's so important is because after you say your I Do's, you can retreat with your new partner and take well deserved time away from your guests. After our ceremony, we took about 15-20 minutes in our suite with just the two of us (and a spread of appetizers from our cocktail hour) where we could let it all sink in and that was such a special part of the day. One thing that we hear over and over is how fast your wedding day goes by- and having these few moments together is really important and such a sweet way to kick off your marriage!
