LBC awards an annual scholarship in honor of Elsie Bracken, who was a loyal LBC member and a Boca Grande resident, who was known for tarpon fishing experience in the "Boca Grande World's Richest Tournaments" and for the most tarpon caught in the women's division.

With her passing in 2023, LBC is happy to bestow a scholarship to deserving Lemon Bay High School seniors with an interest in conservation and environmental issues, in her honor.

Set your calendar for June 8 for the 2nd Summer Paddle for the public. LBC is opening up our volunteer led paddles so participants can explore the beautiful water where we live.
