Nothing but dust left where there was supposed to be linkage bearings. Would be a lot cooler if you didn’t wait this long to replace them.

The award for oldest seat I’ve ever covered goes to this gem. They didn’t even use staples back when this thing was produced. Yamaha was probably scared the staples could possibly hurt the dinosaurs back.

Every day we deal with the “friend who is a professional mechanic” repairs. This guy repaired a broken inner crankcase by grinding away some material for clearance and then heli coiled both cracked in half bolt holes. The results were certainly worth the hundreds he paid this “expert” 🙄
