to June 2002 - The birth of the beer that helped redefine what an IPA could be.

Before “extreme” IPAs were everywhere, there was Stone Ruination Double IPA. Brewed with enough hops to break the scale, it was loud and bitter - exactly how we liked it.

As one of the first regularly brewed and bottled West Coast Double IPAs, it set the standard for hop-forward beers that followed. Bonus points if you can name its most direct successor.
