Salvaging and preserving a 42 year old piece of two-stroke history with this 1983 Kx500.
Gave the ole' girl the works here with a complete rebuild along with a few new upgrades. The 83 cylinder was replaced with a NOS 84 cylinder and 84 head. Cerekoted a new Kx Guru Racing ignition cover, along with clutch cover and head, keeping with some of its original history, the wear characteristics were kept on the cases.
I think the odds are pretty good. This ole,' 500 is going to provide some good old-fashioned fun for generations to come.
