My current situation, and New Look. Missing a bit of facial hair, and quite a few pounds. Nice to be back at the shop, even if it's limited hours. 🧐

Cappers Frame shop here in Eugene did a fantastic job framing these old reverse painted glass signs for me. Just got the six of them hung up today. WATCH, REPAIRING, WATCHES, DIAMONDS, JEWELRY, CUT GLASS. They're not in the best condition, but they're preserved now. Love the old advertising signs from Jewelry Stores and Watch Shops circa 1800's and early 1900's.
On a not so happy note...I am still having difficulty with my hand recovery. I have a new doctor, and we're charting a new path to hopefully push this ahead, time will tell. Because of this situation I will not be accepting any new major repairs at this time.
On another not so happy note, I'm not going to be open as much as I have been in the past. Due to personal and medical reasons you may find the shop closed occasionally. Trying to work a new set of hours, Tuesday - Friday 11:00-4:00, and Saturday 11:00-3:00, however these hours and days may be affected by this. My apologies for any inconveniences caused by this rescheduling.
Thank you for your understanding, looking forward to helping you with your watch repairs in the near future.

Well, Hello out there. There's some new/old watches in my counter as of lately. If you haven't been by the shop in a while, you may want to poke your head in to check out the new/old inventory. I've been fortunate to have found a colleague to help in restoring some of my watches while I continue to rehab my hand after surgeries. There are Chronographs, Seamaster's, Tank Style, Fancy Yellow dial Ladies Oyster, Diamond Dress solid gold, Patek, Triple Date, Sea Wolf with Bakelite bezel, 18K Ruby Diamond Dress, Gruen Executive, LeCoultre, 14K Fancy Lug Longines, Mystery Dial Longines, and more on the way. Maybe you're looking for a special gift for someone, or you have a hankering to add something unique to your personal collection? The shop's open most regular hours, Tues-Fri 11:00-5:00, most Saturdays 11:00-3:00. If you're traveling a fair distance please check to see that I'm not out goofing off or visiting doctors. On the subject of watch repairs...I'm still not accepting anything major. My hand is back to maybe 50%, and the improvement is painstakingly slow. I'm able to do minor things like installing batteries, bands, some stems or crowns and such, but no overhauls. I will continue to do PT, and hopefully get back to 75-85% so I can return to doing what I love, fixing old watches. Hoping you are all well. Happy Holidays, Marc
Well, hello out there. I'm still here, just getting older evidently. It's the end of May and I am still working on rehabbing my hand so I can get back to work. The progress is painfully slow, nerve damage is taking it's own sweet time healing. I'm able to do some minor types of watch related work, such as replacing some batteries, doing some band sizing's, installing some watch bands, and some minor repairs like installing a crystal, or possible fitting a new stem and crown. My normal watch repairs that require intricate work with a steady hand and coordination are still a long ways off. There is certainly improvement from post surgeries, just seemingly minor amounts each passing month.
Doctors, therapist, and I will be re-evaluating my condition and progress in early July to chart a path forward. At this time in my recovery I don't see being able to do any complete watch servicing for some months. For all of my customers that have been patiently waiting for repairs already in line, I am extremely sorry. For those customers with repairs waiting to get checked in, I'm pretty sure this Fall will be the soonest I can foresee helping.
The shop is, and will remain open most regular hours, for hopefully the next 20 plus years. My mission is to get healed up, get past this pause, and get back to fixing the vintage and antique watches I love to work on. Not only for my great customers timepieces, but also for my own watches waiting to be fixed so they can be put out for sale.
Thank you all so very much for being patient with me in this terribly long journey back.
Sincerely,
Marc Anderson
