Bingo Brings Neighbors Together
Laughter, friendly competition, and community connection filled the room during a recent Bingo gathering at one of the properties served by Cornerstone. Residents enjoyed an afternoon of games, snacks, and conversation while marking their cards and hoping to hear that exciting call of “Bingo!” Activities like these provide opportunities for residents to connect with neighbors, build friendships, and create a stronger sense of belonging within their community.
At Cornerstone, affordable housing is about more than providing a place to live. Healthy Home programs help create welcoming spaces where people can engage with one another, reduce social isolation, and enjoy meaningful experiences together. Coffee, Conversation, and Community ☕
Once each month, residents are invited to gather for Coffee Connections, a welcoming activity designed to bring neighbors together over coffee, pastries, and friendly conversation. This month's gathering featured donuts, fruit, juice, and fresh coffee, creating a comfortable space where residents could relax, catch up with friends, and spend quality time with neighbors. Simple monthly traditions like this help build stronger relationships and create a greater sense of belonging throughout the community.
Coffee Connections also provides an opportunity for residents to connect with their Resident Service Coordinator and learn about local resources, referrals, and support services available to them. Monthly gatherings like these help reduce social isolation, encourage friendship, support emotional wellness, and strengthen community connections. A Healthy Walk in the Sunshine
Residents enjoyed a relaxing Walking Group activity filled with movement, sunshine, and friendly conversation. The group walked along a wide outdoor path, taking in the fresh air and enjoying time together in a calm and healthy way.

Sunshine, Snacks, and Smiles ☀️
Who doesn’t love a picnic, especially on a bright sunny spring day? Residents at one of the properties served by Cornerstone gathered outside to enjoy hot dogs, chili, chips, watermelon, drinks, and sweet treats. Some families sat at tables, others relaxed on the grass, and the whole day had that happy spring feeling that makes people want to stay outside a little longer.
The picnic also included a fun line dancing demo, giving residents a chance to move, laugh, and try something new together.
