Brown represents and advises clients in real estate, business matters and related litigation. He has handled hundreds of cases in state and federal court. He is also a skilled transactional lawyer focusing on real estate transactions such as purchase-sale, financing, and leasing of commercial properties. Brown’s clients have included national banks, mortgage loan servicers, private lenders, commercial landlords, colleges, contractors, restaurant franchises, real estate brokers, property managers, building materials suppliers, and real estate investors, among other organizations and individuals.
He has practiced law in Seattle and the San Francisco Bay area for 15 years but is a Lane County native, having grown up in Junction City, the fourth generation of his family to live in the Willamette Valley. In addition to his career, he enjoys writing and performing country/Americana music, staying active in the outdoors, and raising his children.

We are pleased to welcome Samantha Robell to Watkinson Laird Rubenstein. Robell received her J.D. from Willamette College of Law and her B.A. from Portland State University. Her primary areas of practice are probate and trust administration, guardianships and conservatorships, helping families with special needs, and the overall process of guiding families after a loved one has passed away.
Outside of work, Samantha spends her free time with her significant other and their dogs in the outskirts of Oregon. She also enjoys painting and cooking.
