The Trump administration is taking a bold and necessary stand to protect our nation’s children from life-altering procedures that they are far too young to understand. By moving to ban Medicaid and CHIP from funding "s*x-rejecting procedures" for minors, President Trump is ensuring that taxpayer dollars are no longer used to support what many experts now call medical malpractice.

Instead of rushing children into surgeries and chemical treatments with permanent consequences, we should be investing those resources into high-quality, traditional mental health care that addresses the root of their distress without damaging their healthy bodies.
