A simple glance now can help drive a wheelchair.

Professor Brenna Argall and collaborators on Project DRIVE developed software that helps translate eye movements into commands for powered wheelchairs. The technology is part of a new Apple Vision Pro accessibility feature.

By connecting eye tracking to compatible wheelchair controls, the system helps users navigate, steer, and stop without traditional hand-operated inputs.
