Poseidon smiled on Sea Scout Ship 226 this Tuesday with an amazing early spring sail. We had a perfect 10-knot breeze, comfortable Pacific Northwest spring weather, and one of those unforgettable sunsets on the Salish Sea that reminds us how lucky we are to be out on the water together.

As Gypsy Wind continues through her ongoing repairs, we are especially thankful for the encouragement, prayers, well wishes, and generous support that so many have shared with our youth sailing program. Your kindness means more than words can say.

Sea Scout Ship 226 is proud to provide free sailing opportunities for youth and their families, and every bit of support helps keep that mission alive. We are grateful, humbled, and thankful to have such a caring community alongside us on this voyage.

Thank you for helping us keep the wind in our sails.

“Thank you, Mr. White. Your encouragement back at Mount Si High School lit the spark that set me on the path to the sea. Without your guidance, I wouldn’t be a Captain today — and the Everett Sea Scout program wouldn’t be what it is. Your influence lives on in every young person who learns to sail aboard Gypsy Wind.”
