Today, Melissa Walker, Founder and CEO of Influence HR, graduated from Cohort 7 of the Business Accelerator.

Throughout the program, she gained valuable insights into growing and scaling her business while connecting with an inspiring community of fellow entrepreneurs. One of the highlights of graduation day was the opportunity to pitch Influence HR before business leaders and peers—an experience that reinforced the importance of telling a compelling story and confidently communicating the value of her work.

The Chamber also awarded three significant business prizes, demonstrating its continued commitment to investing in Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs.

While the business education was invaluable, Melissa shared that the greatest takeaway was the community she built along the way. The relationships, resources, mentorship, and network she gained through the accelerator are investments that will continue to shape the future of Influence HR.

As Influence HR continues its mission of serving mission-driven organizations with strategic HR solutions, Melissa is grateful to the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce, the mentors, sponsors, instructors, and her Cohort 7 classmates for pouring into her journey.
