Most CEOs have a leadership narrative in their head. They know what matters to them and how they want to show up.

The challenge is that outside people only see pieces of it.

Random posts, sporadic updates, and big gaps in between create a fuzzy picture of who you are as a leader and what you prioritize.

You might feel like you are repeating yourself, but the outside world is often seeing something for the first or second time.

People build their impressions from patterns.

If you talk about something once, it feels important to you.

If you talk about it regularly, it becomes part of who you are in their minds.

A clear narrative does not require a complicated content plan. It just needs a handful of themes you care about and the willingness to return to them.

Over time, others start to describe you in the same way you would describe yourself.

That is when your leadership presence starts to feel intentional.

Many CEOs stay away from LinkedIn because they do not want to say the wrong thing.

It feels safer to say nothing at all.

The problem is that silence is also a signal, and it is rarely the one you intend.

When people cannot find a current, human voice from you online, they assume you are disengaged, out of touch, or simply not that interested.

When people are googling you before a meeting, that lack of signal matters.
It influences whether people are excited to work for you, invest in you, or partner with you.

You do not need to post every day.

You do not need to share anything confidential or personal.

But a steady, visible presence that sounds like a real person goes a long way toward building trust.

Doing nothing feels safe. Increasingly, it is not.
