Our Story

Welcome!


The goal of ACDC is to provide a caring and nurturing environment for children, ages 6 weeks to 15 years, with classes for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school aged children. We recognize that each child has unique talents, learning styles and personalities. Our highly-qualified teachers and staff are committed to working within each child's comfort zone to ensure optimal social and emotional, physical and motor development, cognitive and general knowledge, language development and approaches to learning results. Classes are kept to a low student-teacher ratio and often fill up quickly.

Our Story:

Allie Child Development Center opened in April 2016 with an objective to prepare children for school readiness by providing a full day pre-school program. This would be accomplished by ensuring that all enrolled children have the social–emotional foundation that will help them achieve academic success in the development and learning domains. The school readiness formula of Ready Family + Ready Community + Ready Schools + Ready Children would be applied. With a variety of offerings to choose from the needs of our children and families would surely be met.

In September 2017 Allie Child Development Center became a Step Up To Quality 2-Star Rated program. Led by Dr. Marie Vunda Pashi and the ACDC staff received this award by ensuring excellence in their program by implementing quality in curriculum planning, classroom environment and management, safety and child programming. As the year went by the program matured greatly. In September 2018 ACDC became a Step Up To Quality 5-Star Rated program! To have met this prestigious goal ACDC ensured that: The administrator and teachers have higher education qualifications; The administrator and teachers complete at least 20 hours of specialized training every two years; Each year lead teachers use results from a classroom self-assessment to develop a plan to improve their classrooms; Builds relationships with families, and much more!

As we move into the future our plan is to follow our graduating preschoolers as they move into Kindergarten, tracking their progress so that we may continue to improve our practices accordingly.
