Butler Tech Culinary Arts

Café Lee will be opening with Seniors Keko Longmire from Lakota West and Tianna Watson, from Middletown, running the restaurant. Growing up Keko watched a lot of cooking shows and YouTube videos, she really enjoyed watching the different techniques and different cultures of food. As she grew older, she started to experiment more with these techniques and other recipes. When she got the opportunity to attend Butler Tech she didn’t hesitate to apply. After graduating she plans on entering the workforce in the culinary industry and gaining more skills. Eventually she would like to open her own catering business. Tianna would always watch the food network as a child; she started cooking at the age of seven with her mom. She also took cooking classes in her 8th grade year. She had a passion for cooking and after her tour during 10th grade she decided to apply to the culinary program. Tianna has gained a lot of skills since joining the program. Her next steps are going to be furthering her education in culinary arts and hopes to be a dietitian in the future. They will be running our student-led Café this week on Wednesday, April 22nd and Thursday, April 23rd from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. We will be accepting cash, check or credit so please come and support the Culinary Arts program.
