Walked out my back door Wednesday morning to see my business devastated. Thankfully, no one was hurt, and there’s minimal damage underneath the debris. Started work first thing yesterday and am amazed at the residents here. People stopping and jumping in to help without saying a word. Picking up rakes, hauling limbs, going out to buy gas to run generators. And then turning around and cooking for whoever wants to come get it. I’m not an emotional person, but I’ve almost cried several times today. A lady stopped me and said it perfectly, “when Sally messed with this camper park, she messed with all of us. This is our home.” I wish it hadn’t happened, but I am so thankful for the family here at Driftwood. ❤️
