Foster care teaches shelter dogs important skills they will need in their forever homes, and it allows animal shelters critical space to save other homeless and abandoned dogs. That's why the City of Mobile Animal Shelter needs your help to empty the shelter of thirty large dogs for thirty days. ‼

Through the generosity of our 501c3 rescue partner, Friends of the Mobile Animal Shelter, each participant who successfully fosters a large dog will receive $200 at the end of the thirty days. At the end of the thirty-day period, participants can choose to return their foster pet to the shelter, continue providing foster care or adopt their foster pet (with adoption fees waived).

We will provide training, supplies and veterinary care while our shelter pets are in foster. You will provide your foster dog a break from shelter life and the enriching experience of living in a home.
