I had so much fun taking promo pictures for a production of Into the Woods (directed by Lauren Suttle Webster) last night. The kids and costumes were terrific! These are just a few.

Nick Brandt is one of the world's greatest photographers. I became aware of him when I saw his black and white photos of lions and elephants in 2007. They were unlike any other nature photos I'd ever seen.

Over the years, I've seen other projects of his. His latest is profound: Syrians living in Jordan's deserts, constantly on the move as farmers, trying to find land to farm in the midst of drought.

Just take a look at these photos, and the dignity they impart. Amazing work.
