Fall River Seventh Day Adventist Church

Our Story

We are a church with a rich heritage in history and experience. From the earliest days of the Adventist church Fall River has enjoyed a constant presence in the city and now enjoys a rather new facility on North Main Street. Together the members have a desire to impact their community for Christ as well as nurture and grow a strong membership. To them church is more than attendance at the 11:00 hour on Sabbath (Saturday) morning when they can enjoy fellowship and hear the Word spoken and modeled.

Each member is a work in progress as together they journey toward the goal of Christ-likeness and love. They value family, spiritual maturity, physical vitality and healthy lifestyle. They realize that it is in the fellowship of the church that they can grow strong as their brothers and sisters encourage them and hold them accountable.

The truth of God's Word has been an important anchor for this Bible-centered movement from the very beginning. New England was the incubator for what is now a world-wide movement with hospitals, schools, and humanitarian organizations that span culture, climate and political boundaries.

The Fall River church aims to keep the truth of Jesus alive in a culture where God is almost forgotten and kindly actions are often ignored. We invite you to get acquainted with our people through home gatherings, study groups, community activities and joyful worship. We value our young people and aim to have classes and events appropriate to growing strong Christians and becoming supporting citizens in a culture that often seems to care little about our fellow man. We aim to model Jesus' compassion for the needy, healing for the sick, and hope for the emotionally battered. We aim to be a place where strong men grow stronger in service and powerful in purpose. We want our men to be good dads, caring husbands, and powerful in spirit.

Numerous opportunities for service abound, from teaching children, challenging youth, leading in services, and growing in Christian graces. We have classes for all ages. We believe it is through the balanced development of body, mind and spirit that one can achieve the most joy and greatest contribution to society. Jesus must be our model. He was strong, convincing, tender and compassionate all in one package. We want to learn to be like Him.
