Golden Gardens Retirement Home

Our vegetable garden is very productive this year. We are continually having fresh tomatoes and lettuce for salads, along with beets, carrots, beans, onions, okra, radishes, zuccihini, potatoes, cucumbers, watermelons, green and red bell peppers, etc. We then always add fresh herbs from our herb garden.

Our Brown Turkey fig tree is producing a bumper crop this year. So, we processed several jars of Brown Turkey Fig jam for our residents.

Yesterday, July 4th, the caregivers, residents and some family members ate barbecued chicken and enjoyed as we all sat in our backyard a fantastic fireworks show as presented by the Village of Fallbrook at the Grand Tradition estate located immediately south of us.

Golden Gardens was represented at the Fallbrook Music Society's 25th "Pops on the Green," concert with the San Diego Symphony and soloist Jodi Benson - the voice of Ariel in the movie "The Little Mermaid." It was at the Grand Tradition Estate, with its heart shaped lake, waterfalls, graceful swans and impeccable landscaping. We enjoyed a gourmet picnic dinner, while listening to some absolutely great music, in a fabulous setting and incredibly, only 1/2 mile away from Golden Gardens.

We recently hired another outstanding caregiver - Lo**ta - who shows a great deal of compassion toward and caring for all of our residents. We and our residents are very pleased to have Lo**ta with us.

We are licensed and well experienced to provide services for both ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents, including those in hospice, or those with dementia or Alzheimers.
