#EndTheSilence: Standing for Leah Sharibu and Nigeria's Missing Christian Women and Girls - 21Wilberforce 06/10/2026

Next week June 19th is recognized as the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict—a day to honor survivors, remember victims, and renew our commitment to ending violence against women and girls in conflict zones around the world.

This year, we invite you to remember Leah Sharibu.

Eight years ago, Leah was kidnapped from her school in Dapchi, Nigeria. Today, she remains in captivity after reportedly refusing to renounce her Christian faith.

Sadly, Leah's story is not unique. Across Nigeria's conflict-affected regions, women and girls continue to face abduction, forced marriage, sexual violence, trafficking, and forced religious conversion.

On June 18, 21Wilberforce will join Christian Freedom International, Jubilee Campaign, and partners from around the world at the rally outside the Nigerian Embassy in Washington, D.C. This is part of a Voices4Justice global advocacy effort.

We gather to honor survivors, advocate for those still missing, and call for action on behalf of Leah Sharibu and countless others whose voices have gone unheard.

🙏 Pray for Leah and all those still in captivity.
📢 Share their stories.
✍️ Sign the campaign letter.
📍 Join us in Washington, D.C. if you are able.

As the world observes June 19, let us ensure that Leah and Nigeria's missing women and girls are not forgotten.

God's Call to Comfort the Suffering 06/01/2026

Millions of Christians around the world face discrimination, oppression, and persecution because of their faith. How should the church respond?

In this message, "God's Call to Comfort the Suffering," Wissam al-Saliby, President of 21Wilberforce, reminds us that God's comfort is not meant to stop with us. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 1, he challenges believers to become instruments of God's comfort for those who are suffering—especially our brothers and sisters in Christ who face persecution around the world.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to remember them, pray for them, encourage them, and stand with them.
