Last night at the Falls Church City Council meeting, I had the honor of presenting several commending and memorial resolutions recognizing members of our community whose service, leadership, and lives have made Falls Church and Northern Virginia better.

These resolutions are one of the more meaningful parts of public service. They give us a chance to pause, say thank you, remember those we’ve lost, and make sure the contributions of our neighbors are officially recognized.

Falls Church is a special community because of the people who show up for one another... in civic life, in volunteer service, in advocacy, in friendship, and in the quiet work that often goes unseen.

Congratulations to those recognized last night, and thank you to the families, friends, and community members who joined us. It was a privilege to be there with you.
