Meet the staff

Three years ago, Cyniah walked into the world of rescue and never looked back. Since then, she has spent countless hours learning everything she can — not just the fun parts of rescue, but the hard, exhausting, messy realities that come with it too. 🐴❤️

She has jumped into chores, projects, rescue calls, late nights, dirty work, freezing weather, mud, rain, and yes… probably every bodily fluid imaginable. At this point, I’m pretty sure she’s been “dewormed” more times than some of the horses. 😂

But through all of it, Cyniah kept showing up. She learned, grew, worked hard, and became part of Pride & Joy Rescue.

Watching young people grow through rescue work is something truly special. The animals teach lessons you cannot learn anywhere else — compassion, grit, patience, heartbreak, responsibility, and love.

Meet team member Ashlee

From the very beginning, Ashlee has been part of the foundation of Pride & Joy Rescue. As a founding board member, she has been through every high and low right alongside us.

She has rolled bales by hand, done chores in snow squalls, unloaded hay in freezing weather, chased loose horses, answered rescue calls, and stayed through the late nights that so many people never see behind rescue work. She has put in the hard, gritty work that keeps this place running day after day. 🐴❄️

Over time, Ashlee has also stepped more into an administrative and organizational role, helping Connie with messages, ideas, planning, and the behind-the-scenes work that is just as important as the physical labor. But make no mistake — she is still very hands-on in the barn and never hesitates to jump in wherever needed.

In rescue, it takes people who are willing to wear ten different hats at once, and Ashlee has done exactly that for years with dedication, loyalty, and heart.

We are incredibly thankful for everything she brings to the rescue, the animals, and the team. She is truly an invaluable asset to this rescue family. ❤️
