Official statement from the Red River GMB of the IWW regarding the Congressional action on the Railroad workers contract:

The Red River General Membership Branch of the IWW would like to extend it’s solidarity to the exploited and abused rail workers in the United States. For over a century our fellow workers in the rail industry have been subject to many debasements of dignity, of which the imposition of this so-called deal by the capitalist state is just the latest. The forced acceptance of this bill and it’s lack of basic human dignity should never be accepted by the working class. The Red River IWW will support any and all actions taken by the rail workers to use their collective power to reject the Capitalists wicked and draconian measures to stave off a strike. When even the bare minimum request of a few paid sick days is too much for the Rail Tycoons and their cohorts of lackeys to accept, then the time has clearly come for the workers to remind them that labor creates all wealth and is the source of all things in life. An economic system that denies some of its most essential workers the most basic of dignities, the right to rest from sickness, is an economic system that has forfeited its right to exist. We do not fear an “economic apocalypse” as the capitalist press likes to harangue about. For the working class, apocalypse has already arrived. Our apocalypse is the continued existence of Capital and it’s boot upon the head of the working class. Rail workers: Show them your power! Strike!

Solidarity Forever,
The Red River IWW

Organizing in your work place (unionizing your work place) begins with understanding our roles as workers vs bosses, understanding our relationships as fellow workers, and building relationships with our fellow workers in our workplaces and communities at large. It's about advocating for our fellow workers, and working in solidarity with our fellow workers. It's building relationships, it's advocating for one another, it's standing up for each other. We all deserve better. That's why we need to unionize. Radicalization starts with radicalizing ourselves. We radicalize ourselves and others in recognition of the fact the only win for all of us is true revolution. Revolution isn't one big event. It's everything we're doing right now to make change for all of us. To build systems of community care and mutual aid amongst ourselves as fellow workers and as people. No justice, no peace. Can't stop, won't stop. General Strike.
