🌟 Showcase Your Story: Meet Terry Tumbarello! 🌟

This week, we are proud to highlight Terry Tumbarello, Executive Director of University Housing at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater and UMR-ACUHO’s Coordinator of Corporate Partnerships.

With more than 35 years in Student Affairs and 28 years at UW–Whitewater, Terry has dedicated his career to creating meaningful residential experiences for students while mentoring generations of housing professionals. Throughout his time at UW–Whitewater, he has served in a variety of Housing & Residence Life roles, bringing a wealth of experience and leadership to the field.

When asked what he enjoys most about Housing & Residence Life, Terry shared that it is the people and those rewarding “ah-ha” moments when you know you have made a positive difference in someone’s life.

One accomplishment Terry is especially proud of is not a single program or initiative, but the many current and former staff members who are making a difference on campuses across the profession. Seeing others grow and succeed remains one of the greatest rewards of his career.

Terry values UMR-ACUHO as an affordable professional development home where housing professionals can learn, connect, and grow. His long history of service includes roles as President, Vice President, Treasurer, Coordinator of Corporate Partnerships, Exhibits Chair, and leadership on several committees, reflecting his longstanding commitment to the organization and the profession.

Thank you, Terry, for your decades of leadership, mentorship, and unwavering dedication to Housing & Residence Life and UMR-ACUHO!
