Prairie Abortion Fund Book Club will be reading Unpregnant by Jenni Hendriks and Ted Caplan

This YA novel follows Veronica, a high-achieving teen who discovers she’s pregnant and must travel across state lines to access abortion care. Alongside the humor and adventure, the story explores friendship, autonomy, access, and the challenges people face when navigating reproductive healthcare.

We need your help.

Abortion access is already severely restricted in North Dakota and South Dakota. Now, with the 5th Circuit temporarily banning abortion pills by mail nationwide, people in our region are facing even more barriers.

We are devastated by the chaos and confusion this will cause abortion seekers. Medication abortion is safe and effective—but these attacks are about control, not science. The World Health Organization includes mifepristone and misoprostol on its list of essential and life-saving medicines.

Prairie Abortion Fund is helping North Dakotans and South Dakotans navigate abortion deserts and get the care they need. As access shrinks, more people are turning to us.
