Through the rain and shine, “Poolside with Detroit Dance Collective” at Cranbrook Art Museum was truly spectacular! 🌟🌦️

A major highlight of the evening was getting everyone involved! Barbara Selinger lead the audience through movement directly inspired by Cranbrook’s magnificent fountain and sculptures (swipe to photo 3), all brought to life by the fantastic live music of Marco Schirripa🥁

Alongside performing DDC repertoire, we also witnessed a true legacy moment: an improvised duet between our Artistic Director, Barbara Selinger, and the wonderful Kay Rediers (swipe to photo 4).

Yesterday, we honored Kay’s retirement and her incredible 20+ years as Director of Dance at Cranbrook Schools. Kay has been a pillar of DDC for decades, and celebrating her impact was pure magic. 💐

♦️ professional dance artists who are passionate about collaboration, authenticity, and continuous growth

➖Applicants must be available Wednesdays & Fridays 10am-3pm, and for scheduled performances and events in the Metro Detroit area. Season typically runs from September - June.
