So much wisdom in this post. Babies are so receptive to bodywork.

No. 7 of your Top 10 favorite posts of 2022 ✨ Does your baby need bodywork? Here are the signs to look for 👇

• They look like a baby linebacker. No neck, shoulders up towards ears like they are shrugging.

• They are stiff and “like to stand”

• They grunt a lot and seem uncomfortable.

• They prefer to keep their head turned in one direction.

• They prefer one breast over the other.

• You find that you are breastfeeding in the cradle hold on one breast and football on the other.

• One eye opens more than the other.

• When your baby yawns or cries, their chin tilts to the side. I call that the Elvis baby.

• You had a really fast labor.

• You didn’t really have to push, your baby “torpedoed” out.

• You had a long labor and/or pushed for more than an hour.

• A vacuum or forceps were used.

• You had a Cesarean birth.

Basically, birth is hard on mom and baby and bodywork is almost always beneficial.

You can learn a lot on Instagram if you look in the right places. I love this summary of CST from Dr. Erika DC, ACN. CST is one component of Dynamic Body Balancing and a part of every session.
