Here it is - 25.3 KIDS EDITION!!
Get after it! Work hard! But most importantly - have fun!!!
Remind the kids that this is a chipper. The work load should be manageable to allow them to get thru it in 10-15 min for younger ones, where the older kids will likely be able to stay focused for 15-20 minutes.
FYI - Snap a picture or two of your kids - or someone elses (if it’s not too weird 😂) for an upcoming drawing!! 😉😁

Anyone else ever experience the “magic of the Open”??? Hitting that PR lift, getting that new gymnastics skill for the first time???
When Izzy saw chest to bar pull-ups programmed into her CrossFit Open workout, she had a slight meltdown. She hasn’t ever done chest to bar pull ups. She has tried but had not successfully figured it out. So she was not thrilled to see them to say the least. Friday Night Lights - magic.
Looks like she has been doing them forever!

Wow! Anyone excited for 25.2??
These workouts are always a little challenging when it comes to programming for a group of kids. Some 9-13 year olds can lift a barbell while others can’t. Some kids can tackle pull ups like it’s nothing while others are still learning. It’s ok.
With 25.2, meet the kids where they are at. Help them find a skill that will stretch them - maybe it’s the pull ups, maybe they can do a few double unders but they are still learning.
Use the sample workout here - but don’t be afraid to scale if NEEDED. Coach your kids, encourage them to push themselves! But we also want them to get a good workout and a lot of fun out of 25.2!!
Who thinks wall walks will make a comeback this week?? Maybe a 23.3 repeat????

25.1 - KIDS Edition!
📋 Standards are the same for the DB Hang Clean to Overhead, Burpees over the DB & Lunges.
⏰ Notice the workout duration. Ages 4-9 year olds have 8 min AMRAP, 10-13 year olds have 12 min AMRAP. (Because science - Younger kids just have a shorter attention span.)

CrossFit releases Open workouts for Teens - but maybe your gym has kids who wants to play in the Open too?!!?
