Will I ever be able to get off insulin for my Type 2 Diabetes?

Yes, it is possible, but it depends on many factors. Things such as how long you've had diabetes, how long you've been on insulin and how much you take, what you eat, how active you are, and what other medications you take to help manage your blood sugar all need to be taken into account when designing a treatment plan to get off insulin.

The important thing to know is that it can be done, but needs to be overseen by a medical professional with knowledge of and experience in reducing insulin at a pace that is right for each person. Stopping insulin abruptly on your own can be dangerous, but we have the tools to help you reach this goal safely.
