Shear Magic Hair Design
Shear Magic has closed, please contact your stylist to book an appointment at their new location!
For all of you who can’t wait to see your stylist, barber or nail tech. 🥰 Here in Washington State.
When we do get to open, here are a few things (not all) for you to know. These are the important ones. We are scheduled for June 1st. We shall see.
😬 Salons will be open with only 50% capacity. If it is a 4 chair salon, only 2 stylists can work, 2 chairs 1 stylist etc. Please have patients as stylists are coming back to work with 100% of their clientele, only 50% of the work days and more than likely 50% of clients seen in one day. They can only see one client at a time. With all the sanitation time after each guest it could be less clients seen. This will also mean you will more than likely experience more time between your appointments. In other words if your color service was every 4 weeks, it could now be 5/6 weeks. We can only do so much in a day.
😷 When its time for your appointment.
You need to remain in your car.
Do not bring anything extra into the salon, bags, coats etc.
Text your stylist or call the salon and let them know you are here.
Wait until your stylist says you can enter. We need to sanitize everything before the next guest comes in. Chairs, mirrors, shampoo bowl, bathroom if it was used, Color Bar, dryers, stations, desk. Have patience as this could take an additional 15/20 minutes after each appointment. We will get our timing down as we all get used to these new steps.
Before you leave your car, you must put on your mask. Make sure they go around your ears and not the tie around kind. Wear a mask you wouldn’t mind getting color on it. If you do not have a mask, you can not enter the salon- I will have some on hand for emergencies. The only guest entering the salon is the one who is receiving the service, unless it is a child. They can be accompanied by a parent (social distancing is a must and a mask must also be worn).
😷 When you enter the salon you may notice.
No magazines, no reception area, no beverages and no hair style books available.
Retail Hair products (please ask for assistance, in other words “Can’t touch this” as MC Hammer would say.
You will more than likely be asked screening questions and have your temperature checked. So be prepared for that. Here are some examples.
Have you been tested for covid 19?
Have you had contact with someone or has yourself been exposed to someone with covid19 or covid19 symptoms.
Have you been exposed to someone with covid19?
Have you been sneezing?
Do you have a cough?
Have you noticed a loss of taste or smell?
Are you experiencing nausea ,vomiting or diarrhea?
Do you have a fever?
Many places will be taking temperatures or asking you to take yours before you arrive. Please respect the stylist that might want to take your temperature even if you took it and told them it was fine.
😷 Must do’s for each guest.
You will use hand sanitizer when entering the salon. You will then need to wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds. Now you can sit in the chair.
If paying with a check, it needs to be made out prior to your visit or with your own pen.
If you are receiving a hair service, During the shampoo, your face will also be covered with a towel in addition to you keeping your mask on.
If you are paying with cash, change cannot be given. Exact cash would be needed.
😷 You May think you are in a medical clinic, but rest assured..... That is your stylist behind the goggles, mask, aprons, gloves, or face shield and underneath it all they are smiling and so excited to see you. Who is excited to see their stylist, barber or nail tech?
