Twelve years ago, I heard something that has stuck with me.

In poor areas of Costa Rica near the border with Nicaragua, moms often cry out to God, asking for help to get school supplies for their children. In these regions, schools don’t provide books or basic supplies, so every student needs things like a backpack, pencils, pens, notebooks, and more.

I was told I could be an answer to these mothers’ prayers.

The new school year starts this month, and last week I sent enough money to help 189 kids with supplies. This week, I’d like to send at least $3,000 more. Each backpack and set of supplies costs $25.

With a new school year starting in February, we want to answer the prayers of mothers in Upala, Costa Rica, who are seeking help for their children’s education. You can be an answer to their prayers!

Upala is a farming community in northern Costa Rica with a high poverty rate, where families struggle to afford even basic school supplies. This year, we are once again providing children with fully stocked backpacks to equip them for success. Thanks to a great sale this year, each backpack and set of supplies costs only $20.

Our goal is to provide 100 backpacks, and we need your help to make this possible.
