UniSyn™ Synthetic Paper FAQs: Printing, Durability and Finishing

Here are answers to a few of the questions we hear most often:

➡️What presses are compatible with UniSyn?
UniSyn is optimized for conventional and UV offset, UV inkjet and HP Indigo Indigo digital production presses.

➡️Does it require pre-priming?
No. Its built-in topcoat helps anchor inks securely without an additional pre-priming step.

➡️Does it dry quickly?
Yes. The topcoat chemistry accelerates dry and cure times for litho and UV inks, helping keep production moving.

➡️Is it waterproof?
Yes. UniSyn is waterproof and highly tear-resistant—making it a strong choice for menus, signage, manuals and other frequently handled applications.

➡️Can it be finished like paper?
UniSyn can be folded, hole-punched, foil stamped and die-cut, giving printers plenty of flexibility during finishing.

➡️Why use UniSyn instead of lamination?
Durability is built directly into the sheet. That means fewer production steps, no outsourcing, and no delamination or frayed laminate edges.

Available in seven gauges from 6 mil through 18 mil and popular press sizes including 13" × 19" and 28" × 40".
