Some of our favorite moments in session don’t come from a perfectly planned activity. They happen when kids are simply having fun.

This little flag-waving moment was full of so much more than patriotic fun. It was an opportunity to practice imitation, build joint attention, learn new vocabulary, engage with peers, and create meaningful connections.

That’s one of the beautiful things about play-based speech therapy: we don’t have to force learning. We create joyful experiences where communication happens naturally.

Because when children feel connected, they’re more likely to engage, communicate, and grow.

🍋 The lemon soap, the lemon hand towel, the lemon room spray, lemon calendar, lemon tissue holder, the lemon trees, lemon stickers, lemon dresses, all the lemon squishes. We may have a lemon problem actually.

🍋 Celebrating the finest victories like they’ve won an Olympic gold medal because every hint of progress is a major milestone in our book.

🍋Turning ordinary, everyday moments into a language opportunity that cannot be passed up.

🍋Getting on the floor about two dozen times a day because that’s the only way we play 💛

Summer has a way of creating a little more breathing room and we’re seeing leaps of progress with our clients!! 💛

Maybe it’s because the schedule isn’t as full.
