Jennifer's Quilted Blocks

Isn't this just the cutest quilt! I love chickens, we used to have some. So this quilt I did a combination of custom and pantograph pattern. In the chicken blocks I stippled around the chickens and added texture to their wings, and then in the background blocks I used the pantograph called Scottish Plaid- hexies, to look like chicken wire. It's a little harder ro see since the fabric print is busy. But just another example of there being more options of combining techniques.

This scrappy quilt is super cool with the offset black and white squares, making the eye dance. With there being so many different fabric patterns my customer chose to do a simple leaf pattern for the quilting in black thread.
