The One Decision That Changed My Life

Some of you may know this and some may not. A few years ago, some friends and I took a motorcycle trip from Michigan down to the southern tip of Argentina.

Up to this point in my life, I had always made the big life decisions based on what my parents had advised me to do. Don't get me wrong I was never a goody-two-shoes.
-
But this was the first time in my life that I decided to make a choice contrary to their advice. Not out of spite, or anger, but out of a sense of independence and adventure.

How many times in life do you find friends who are crazy enough to travel together for 9 months? Given that it started out only being 6 months, but that's another story entirely.

Throughout that 9 months, I had moments of regret, fear, anger, and of course loneliness. But every day was a new adventure and every choice was 100% my own.

There is a deep sense of nervousness and freedom that comes with knowing whatever comes next is all your fault. And if that isn't the most thrilling feeling in the world I don't know what is.
Always Ask Why!!!
