Ventura County Search and Rescue - Team 1

Annual Hungry Valley Training over the busy Memorial Day weekend. We had the opportunity to test the capabilities of our OHV’s and the new Light Medium Tactical Vehicle(LMTV)! The LMTV will be an essential rescue vehicle for future callouts.

This past weekend some members of Team One went to Convict Lake for the annual MRA recertification test. Needless to sayhey crushed the test

Today we remember our fallen teammate Jef Dye on the 5th anniversary of his death in the line of duty. October 25, 1968-February 2, 2019.

To us you were more than a friend or a teammate. You were a brother. A brother who was taken from us too soon.

Your memory will forever be etched into our souls, until we meet again on the other side. God speed my brother.

Join us for an adrenaline-pumping day of training in an off-highway vehicle hotspot! Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area is one of the many spots where our dedicated SAR team springs into action when the call comes in. We're always ready to serve our community, no matter where the adventure takes us.

TEAM 1 Snow Training Day
This past weekend our team conducted our second winter snow training of the month. This training we focused on avalanche beacon work, snow anchor systems, and of course a whole lot of cross country snowshoeing.
